It is a powerful combination of Solution Focused Psychotherapy techniques enhanced with the use of hypnosis. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy sessions help reduce the symptoms of anxiety and stress, and every session is designed to be positive, informative and supportive.

As the name suggests, we focus on what you want to achieve – the solution(s) – rather than analysing the problem(s) that have prompted you to seek change. This approach allows us to focus on the present and future, and many clients find that this approach is both positive and empowering. We do not need to revisit painful memories – if you have experienced unpleasant events, we acknowledge they happened and help you get from where you are to where you want to be.

By focusing on the future and how you’d like things to be, as a solution focused hypnotherapist I can work with you to encourage the positive changes you would like to make. It is a collaborative process; change happens because you want it to and because you’re prepared to take the necessary steps to allow it to. We do of course use the very powerful and completely natural state of hypnosis to help bring about those positive changes. During hypnosis it’s possible to access the subconscious mind, so that changes in thoughts, feelings and behaviours can be achieved at a deeper than conscious level.
